Well, I just earned another point toward uber-geekness tonight. On Friday we dropped off a small bunch of machines at a colo facility. Said colo facility still has not gotten their head out from their rear to route the subnet they told us was ours to us. So tonight I figured out how to set up a tunnel between our office and the subnet in question so that we could access it, from the office, at least.
The rest of the weekend was spent sort of avoiding having to do work. I think last weekend or maybe the day before I worked both Saturday and Sunday. Weekends are mine man, but I still worry about the job getting done.
Speaking of taking care of business, Moshen and Anthony Tong are visiting this weekend to be recruited by Confinity, which seems to have a proud tradition of getting folks to leave UIUC before graduating. Well, I'm not sure either one of them will take the tantalizing hunks of bait offered them, but they are definitely taking the opportunity to spend a few days extra on my couch and checking out the Bay Area. Augh, I've forgotten to get them the hook up with Jessica for interviews at VA. I scrapped the idea of getting them interviews at Tellme just yet, because they are still going to be in school a while.
This weekend has been a lazy one. I did get my laundry done today though, haven't folded it yet. I was a little disappointed that I wouldn't get to watch the Simpsons, but then Joe called and said he'd basically stayed at home all day, so I showed up at his place as he went to pick up some pizza. Got to watch TeeVee ONCE in a while, eh?
Well, early day at work tomorrow. Since I've been slackin' off this weekend, and tomorrow is a big demo, bunch of us are coming in early to work out some unresolved issues. Good way to start the week, I think.
Well, unless I think of something more compelling to say here, adios!
