Yesterday was Easter. I slept in like I've been doing most of the time lately. I called Mom and got lucky - the whole family was there! Well, it is Easter but I was concerned they might be at Susie's. After breakfast, I hopped on my bike and rode on up to Shoreline. Easter Mass, dannyman style; I found the place I like to sit and sat there, relaxing, enjoying the weather and the nature, and digging in to a book: a biography on Carl Sagan.
Actually, I didn't get too far on that book. It was windy and hard to hold the pages where they should be, and I wasted some time finding out I didn't want to read this other book after all, which had struck me as a potentially even-handed account of Jesus but read like some sort of New Age culty thing. Eyuck!
After stopping by the cafe at Shoreline Park, and getting a plate of french fries because that's all they sell at 4PM, and inadverdently sharing some of my fries with the birds, which is supposedly a violation of Mountain View law, I rode on home, to a relaxing evening. Watched some TV, played with the Internet some. Eventually KTEH's Sunday Science Fiction came on and I got to watch anime, Robot Wars, and Doctor Who, and wander off to bed, where I slept in yet again, enhanced by a power outage.
Got to work and met Mark Verber walking away from the office with this dude, which threw me off because why would Mark be walking away from the office during our Monday all hands? Eventually Holly happened by and broke my spaced-out reverie.
And now it is once again the end of the work day.
