I'm chillin' here talkin' to Casey Robards who just wandered into the lab. She got free dinner coz someone payed for her friend's birthday party visit to the Olive Garden.
In my own realm, I've been running into people all day, and it's been nice. I still have yet to call Dad back, I have a message he called at 0900h, which for him would be 0800h, so that's kinda weird. I should call him back later, when Greg aint on the phone.
For B&TW 271 I sat in the same seat in the same room I sat in last semester for B&TW 261. The first thing we're doing is an introductory memo, then we'll be doing resumes and cover letters. Hmmm, the lesson plan is starting to sound familiar. Maybe this time i should get an A.
In English 382, Brad, aka
Rhetoric Man
was in the room when I walked in. Lotta people are former
CS majors in the writing technologies class, which is being taught for the
second time here this semester, the first time for our professor. Cool.
Leaving the History 111 lecture I saw Ryan, who lives in Allen
Hall, so that's no big deal, but in my section is Jackson Potter, and as the TA
was introducing himself, in slunk Joe Doyle, who I can't remember
ever meeting before but he turned around and asked if I was dannyman, and
said I'm Joe Doyle.
So, that's Joe. He's alright, as far as I've
experienced him on IRC or whatever.
Walking up to the Campus Safety Building I ran into Anne Nash, who has changed religions yet again, but she's doing alright. I got a hang tag and walked back down to F23 to place it in the dannyvan, grateful the parking thugs were satisfied with my last-semester tag today and didn't issue me a ticket.
Before that though, I'd gone to IUB to grab books, running into Bahar and a girl who I think is from Jessy's class, who I'm pretty damned sure is named Grace, but I don't know how sure I am of that. Bahar's really nice, and Grace seems to be so too.
In the afternoon I got to ytalk with Li Chun. We talked about life and philosophy and made plans for dinner. That was cool. At 1700h there was the labsitters meeting, and I got to see lots of old comrades there. I spent most of my time bitching about people who were too incompetent to pick their hours and how things were different in the old days. I'm like, almost the oldest labsitter, next to Khamla.
A block away from DCL I ran into Ravee, from high school, got to chatting. He's a real good guy, and he's president of APAC, and he's not as shy as he used to be. That's all good. Standing out in the cold, we did chat for a while.
Back to Allen Hall, I ran into Casey, and have to call her sometime to meet for dinner.
All in all, things are alright, except the pizza from the labsitter party, and last nights insomnia, are contributing to a strong grogginess.
I'll have to get my schedule online later. It's in the Pilot right now. Whee!
