Unfortunately, walking hurts! This disgusts me, but it is the reality. One of my favorite things, always, has been wallking by the lake. I lived near it (57th and Dorchester) and spent many happy hours walking along the rocks by Lake Michigan. When I was rich and had a whole dollar to use as a deposit, plus 25 cents for an hour's bike rental, I would rent a bike at 57th and Stony and ride downtown and back. I also used to ride the Green Hornet on 63rd Street to the end of the line and back. A great solitary adventure! I find I am more and more dependant on my car. Unfortunately, walking hurts!
